August 26, 1997
Dear Colleague:
This notice is to remind you of the rapid approach of the VII International Conference on Calorimetry in High Energy Physics, to be held November 9-14, 1997 in Tucson, Arizona.
The meeting will cover all aspects of calorimetric particle detection and measurement in high-energy physics experiments. Emphasis will be placed on a comparison of the different techniques that are being used in existing detectors as well as those under development. Detector readout, calibration and simulation, radiation sensitivity, and systems integration issues will be addressed. Calorimetric detectors in other areas of research will also be covered.
We have structured the conference in plenary sessions. A portion of the program will be devoted to invited reviews of selected topics. Additional contributions will be included in the program on a time-available basis. If you would like to attend the conference, please acknowledge your interest to the conference secretariat via email, fax, phone, or register via our web site as soon as possible. If you would like to present a paper, please send an abstract to the conference secretariat by email, fax, mail, or WWW as soon as possible. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is October 1, 1997. As this is a limited mailing, please alert other colleagues at your institution who might have an interest in attending CALOR97.
For your convenience you may register and submit abstracts via the web site listed below. For further information please contact the Conference secretariat.
